PELVIS
Creativity, desire, and the subtle beginnings of movement
A Body of Trust gathering · An intimate somatic expressive arts studio experience with Alyssa Jurewicz Johns
Some places in the body ask for familiarity.
Time to approach. Time to sense. Time to discover whether today is the day.
This gathering meets the pelvis through gravity, bone, breath, and imagination. Movement, body mapping, drawing, and writing invite an exploration of support, belonging, creativity, desire, and choice.
A small shift of weight. An impulse toward movement. A pause that asks to be respected.
What does the body feel ready for right now?
We’ll listen to subtle movements and the imagery that follows. Attention may remain with the pelvis or find another place to land. That movement of attention belongs to the investigation.
Inside the studio
Rooted in the Tamalpa Life/Art Process, this gathering is part of Body of Trust: Creative Investigations in Movement & Image, inspired by my book and its attention to timing, readiness, and relationship.
The small-group studio offers room for individual exploration, creative expression, reflection, and optional witnessing. You choose your pace, how you participate, and what you share.
This gathering is reserved for returning Body of Trust participants, following a brief conversation with Alyssa about readiness and fit. Attendance at the entire series is not required.
