HEART
Protection, longing, and the choice to receive
A Body of Trust gathering · An intimate somatic expressive arts studio experience with Alyssa Jurewicz Johns
The heart has its own architecture.
Chambers. Thresholds. Rhythm. Pauses.
In this gathering, we’ll explore the heart through its structures and the images they invite. Movement, body mapping, drawing, and writing offer ways to encounter what we protect, what we long for, and how we negotiate giving and receiving.
Which threshold draws your attention? What wants company? What needs its own space?
We’ll respect the intelligence of protection and allow curiosity to set the pace. Each person chooses what to approach, what to share, and what to leave undisturbed.
Inside the studio
With approximately six to seven participants, there is time to follow an image, return to a movement, and reflect on how an experience in the studio touches the life you’re living.
Rooted in the Tamalpa Life/Art Process, this gathering is part of Body of Trust: Creative Investigations in Movement & Image, inspired by my book. Movement, artistic expression, reflection, and witnessing become ways of listening—with meaning remaining in your own hands.
This is an independently bookable gathering. You are welcome to begin here. No previous movement or art experience—and no reading beforehand—is needed.
